Manchester-based tax consultancy Catax has passed the £200m milestone for claims made on behalf of clients.
Launched in 2008, the business has a portfolio of 14,000 clients nationwide which it serves from five offices.
Since it was established, Catax’s claims total since has risen to £204m. The latest figures come after the company enjoyed turnover growth of almost 20 per cent in 2017/18, with income rising from £7.4m to £8.7m.
Chief executive Mark Tighe said: “It is astonishing how many eligible companies miss out on valuable tax relief due to a lack of knowledge and understanding of the process. Many simply do not realise they are eligible at all.
“This impressive sum of £204m shows just what a difference it can make to businesses if they capitalise on these tax reliefs. Significant sums of money are at stake, which can then be reinvested in further growth and innovation.
“After 12 months of rapid expansion, we’re looking forward to continuing this growth through the next three years to extend our services to the many businesses across the UK still missing out.”
