Our client is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice. They undertake projects nationwide and across a broad spectrum of sectors ranging in both size and complexity.

They have advanced the design and development of complete residential and commercial modular builds. Typically, modular home construction is completed elementally, with all components required to complete construction delivered and assembled on site. Their developments significantly reduce the overall construction time, allowing for units to be delivered to high-density areas, without much disruption to the surrounding area.

Our client sought to use less material to ensure the units are lightweight while improving the acoustic performance, thermal performance and fire rating.

Considerable research and development time was spent attempting to control the infiltration of the outdoor air, determining the system for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), water tightness of windows and fire safety in such complex modular systems.
